LAUNCESTON

AI FOR BUSINESS

Less admin. More time.

Powerful AI, put to work for you.

Nordlith helps Launceston businesses put AI to work on emails, routine administration and follow-ups—connected to the tools you already use, with your team in control.

01 / THE BUYING QUESTION

A new assistant does not make old documents current

Staff want a reliable answer from policies and project files, but the same topic appears in a current shared document, a personal copy and an old email attachment. Buying AI seats does not resolve the document hierarchy. A custom assistant will inherit the same ambiguity unless source ownership and access are addressed first.

03 / ILLUSTRATIVE WORKFLOW

Illustrative workflow: find the current onboarding instruction

  1. Select the approved policy collection and the staff role requesting help.
  2. Retrieve the current onboarding instruction and its source location.
  3. Prepare an answer that identifies the version and highlights missing guidance.
  4. After a policy replacement, test that staff see the new instruction and that withdrawn material no longer supports answers.

Include a deleted source, a personal copy and an inaccessible document in the test set. A one-time answer does not prove that updates or access revocation will be reflected reliably.

04 / DISCOVERY CHECKLIST

A workspace-versus-custom discovery checklist

  • Workspace product, edition and current approved AI policy.
  • Document locations, owners, sharing rules and review dates.
  • Questions staff ask and the source passages that should support answers.
  • Expected behaviour after replacement, deletion and staff access removal.
  • Who will administer the collection, monitor errors and maintain any custom component.

Keep the first enquiry general. Do not send passwords, tokens or confidential customer records.

05 / DELIVERY AND OWNERSHIP

Remote evaluation before a new infrastructure commitment

Launceston teams can begin remotely with a source and permission review. Include the workspace administrator and the owner of the documents, not only the enthusiastic early user. Confirm data handling, licensing, processing locations and support before committing to a deployment. Product fit and any onsite needs are assessed for the engagement.

Before you decide.

Do we need custom AI if we already have Microsoft 365?

Not necessarily. First check your edition, approved features and the actual task. A custom build is justified by an unmet requirement, not by duplicating a tool you already have.

Will deleting a source immediately remove its influence?

That must be tested for the chosen architecture, including indexes, caches and retention. Do not assume deletion or access revocation propagates instantly.

Can we run the model on our own hardware?

It is an option to assess, not a default promise. Hardware, updates, backups, access, logs and operating support remain part of the decision.
